Your first airport
Every airport starts empty. Set one up once in Edit mode, and every vehicle knows where to wait, which roads to take and where to park.
Setting up an airport means telling 41aero Ground three things: where the vehicles wait, which roads they drive, and where each one parks at each stand. You do it once per airport, and the setup is saved for every flight after.
Add the airport
- Open the control panel and switch to Edit in the top right.
- In the Library tab, choose Add airport and type its ICAO code, for example
LKPR. - The airport opens in its own tab. Its stands are imported from the scenery you have active in the sim, so they match what you see when you fly.
The left panel lists every stand, grouped by pier. Stands that still need work show a Needs setup badge.
Draw the roads
Shared roads and depots feed every stand at the airport, so you only draw them once.
- Pick the Roadway tool (
R) and draw the service roads along the apron. - Pick the Depot tool (
D) and place a depot where the vehicles wait between jobs.
Set up a stand
Select a stand on the map or in the list. Its panel on the right shows each service and whether it's set.
- Stand routes (
T): draw the route each vehicle takes from the roadway into the stand. - Service spots (
S): place each vehicle where it parks. Every vehicle is a true-to-size footprint. Drag it into place, rotate it, or type a heading. - Pushback (
P): draw the pushback procedures pilots can choose from at this stand. A stand can have several.
When every service shows a check, the stand is set up.
Repeat it quickly
- Copy a stand to the next one when the layout is the same, then adjust what's different.
- Press
Nto jump to the next stand that needs setup.
The status bar at the bottom counts how many stands are done, for example 12 / 18 stands set up. You don't have to finish them all before you fly: stands without a setup just don't get vehicles yet.
When the scenery changes
If you install or update scenery for an airport, re-sync it from the airport's panel. The stand list is refreshed from the sim, and your routes and spots stay on every stand that still exists.
