Flying with it
In Usage mode the control panel shrinks to a small window that stays on top of the sim, follows your flight and asks only when it needs an answer.
Switch the control panel to Usage to open the usage window. It stays on top of the sim, so you can keep it beside your view or on a second screen. Choose your airport and aircraft type at the top.
1. Plan before landing
While you're still in cruise, pick your stand and an arrival preset. A preset says which vehicles come out when you park, so you don't have to call each one.
2. Clear the runway
After you vacate the runway, the window asks which stand you're taxiing to. Type it or click it on the map, then choose Send crew. The crew waits clear of the stand until your parking brake is set.
3. Turn around
Once you're parked, the window lists every vehicle at the stand with its status (on its way, connected, waiting at depot). Use the presets for your aircraft type, or call and release each vehicle yourself:
| Vehicle | What it does |
|---|---|
| Ground power unit | Plugs in so you can shut the APU down |
| Passenger stairs | Drives up to the door and waits until you release it |
| Belt loader | Lines up with the hold for loading and unloading |
| Fuel truck | Asks how much fuel to add, then does the rest |
| Pushback tug | Hooks up for the pushback you pick |
4. Fuel up
Call the fuel truck and tell it how much to add on top of what you have on board.
5. Push back
Pick one of the stand's pushback procedures and release the parking brake. The tug pushes you back along the route set up for that stand.
Multiplayer
41aero Ground runs your own ground equipment only. Other pilots' aircraft aren't handled. [TODO: say whether other players can see your vehicles]
